The Guild turns Skills & Confidence into a ladder of real actions—Learn, Practice, Prove, Portfolio—so progress is something a participant can point to, not just something they felt.
Workshops and role-play build familiarity, but they rarely leave a participant with something to point to. The Guild closes that gap: every capability a participant develops ends in one genuine action, with a real person or partner on the other end—not a simulation.
A short, volunteer-led workshop introduces the skill.
Low-stakes rehearsal inside a small Proving Circle of peers.
A genuine action, with a real person or partner on the other end.
The proof—a recording, a note, a result—becomes evidence a participant keeps.
Works through the five Proof Points sprints inside a Proving Circle.
All five sprints proven. Now co-facilitates the next cohort’s Proving Circle.
A Journeyperson with a real-world result to show—presents at Guild Night.
Today’s Apprentice becomes tomorrow’s mentor—the same person who learns the ladder ends up teaching it, so The Guild grows its own volunteers as it grows its own participants.
Once a cohort proves its final sprint, The Guild goes public: portfolios on display, real outcomes presented to partners and family. We haven’t set a date yet—check back here as the first cohort gets underway.
The Guild is our Discover–Develop–Deploy method made structural: Learn is Discover, Practice is Develop, and Prove is Deploy. It launches inside the Pathways to Participation pilot’s existing cohort—no separate recruitment, timeline, or budget line.
The Guild runs inside the Pathways to Participation pilot — there’s no separate application. Once you’re taking part in Pathways, your mentor will let you know when a Proving Circle is starting.
No. The Guild fits inside your existing Pathways sessions — Learn, Practice and Prove happen alongside the programme you’re already part of, not in addition to it.
Something real, but never overwhelming — an actual phone call, introduction, or short presentation to a real person, not a stage or an audience. Your mentor helps set the right level of challenge.
That’s normal — take as long as you need in Practice. A Proof Point only moves to Prove once you and your mentor agree you’re ready.
Once a cohort proves its final sprint, portfolios go on display and Masters present a real outcome to partners and family. We haven’t set a date yet — check out how The Guild works above while we get the first cohort there.
Not at this stage. While the pilot is small, we describe participants by role rather than by name in public materials. As the programme grows, this will move toward sharing stories with people’s consent.
The Guild launches once the Pathways to Participation pilot is underway. Send an enquiry and we will let you know as soon as the first sprints open.
